Gel Polish instructions

Important knowledge

Hygiene. Hygiene is very important when you are doing your nails. Bad hygiene can be the cause of spreading viruses, bacteria, and diseases (e.g. nail fungus). It can also cause the product to lift from the nail and create "green spots". Always make sure to wash your hands thoroughly before you start doing your nails. Always cleanse your tools after every set of nails! Cleanse your nail files with Gel Wipe. Cleanse your tools with water and soap and then with the Gel Wipe as well.

Preparing the nail. Cleanse the nail with Gel Wipe. Then push the cuticle back with a cuticle pusher. It is very important that none of the cuticle is left on the nail since this will make the product unable to stick to the nail. You can buff the rest of the cuticle away if necessary. Then buff the entire nail with a buffer. The buffer needs to have a grit of 240 or above. You should NEVER file the bare nail with a nail file or a buffer rougher than that. It should be a very delicate buffer since it is possible to damage the nails when you file them. Nobody wants thinner nails and that is a risk you would be taking if you are using a rougher nail file or buffer. After buffing, brush the file dust away with a dust brush. Then use a Gel Wipe pad to cleanse the nail before application of the product.

Allergies. Allergy to the product is rare. Always make sure the product doesn't touch the skin! If some product has gotten on the skin, remove it immediately. Remove the product from the skin with a clean brush. Then use a Gel Wipe to remove the rest. Symptoms of allergy are: itching, swelling, and redness. If you experience any of these symptoms it is even more important that you make sure the product doesn't touch the skin. Bodies do not react the same, which is why some people are allergic to the product, while others are not.

Gel Polish
Cleanse the natural nail thoroughly with Gel Wipe and remove the cuticle from the nail with a cuticle pusher and a delicate nail file or buffer.
Apply a coat of basecoat and place nails under the lamp for 30 seconds.
Apply a thin coat of color. Place nails under the lamp for 30 seconds.
Repeat step 4 until you are satisfied with the result.
Finish with a coat of No-Wipe Top Coat. Place nails under the lamp for 30 seconds.

Gel Polish - Removal
The easiest and fastest way to remove Gel Polish is by filing off the color.
Another method is to dissolve the color in acetone for approx. 15 minutes. Then the color should be scraped off the nail with a cuticle pusher. (If some color is still stuck to the nail, the process should be repeated.)

Important. It is very important you don't file on the surface of your natural nail with a file with a grit below 240! You can avoid this by appliying two layers of basecoat.
